Kristie Macosko Krieger, is a producer at Amblin Partners, formerly DreamWorks Studios, and a longtime associate of Steven Spielberg. Most recently, Kristie has produced the upcoming “Ready Player One,” based on Ernest Cline’s best-selling novel, and “The Papers,” starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. As a producer, she was instrumentally involved in the critically acclaimed and Academy Award® Best Picture nominated “Bridge of Spies.”
Previously, Krieger served as executive producer on “The BFG” and co-producer on “Lincoln.” Based in part on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s “Team of Rivals,” the film was directed by Spielberg from a screenplay by Tony Kushner, and starred Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones. “Lincoln” received 12 Academy Award® nominations, winning two for Best Actor and Best Production Design, and grossed $275 million worldwide.
As an associate producer, Krieger’s credits include: “War Horse,” based on Michael Morpurgo’s award-winning novel, which was directed by Spielberg and nominated for six Academy Awards including Best Picture; and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” also directed by Spielberg, which starred Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf and grossed over $700 million worldwide.
Krieger began her career with the USC Shoah Foundation, where she served as head of worldwide publicity, before joining DreamWorks in 1997. She holds a degree from UC Davis and is a member of the Producers branch of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
